Reviewed By: Batting A Lash

How amazing! Make-up artist and beauty blogger Jill from the awesome Batting A Lash just sent me this great review of our products:

Bright Eyes: This eye product is an oil but light and absorbs right into the skin leaving no oily residue or greasiness. I love this since I always feel like my eyes are not getting enough moisture and need more love then I give them. This stuff seems to be helping my skin feel better instantly. The little eyedropper is great too...I hate contaminating a product's bottle with my fingers, and now I don't.

Good Day Face Oil: This is a lifesaver for my awful dry cheeks. Once again this stuff is so light that it absorbs right into the skin. No grease or oil is left behind, just soft skin. I like this one the most.

High Five: For my dry little fingers and hands...have you seen my hands. Ick. Dry is not the word, I get cuts and cracks all over my hands. This oil absorbs fast and hydrates perfectly. I love this oil.

Overall:
I like the Canadian/Local factor, I like that I am helping out a local company with good principles about natural skin care. I love that they have a baby rub product that is safe for babies to use (babies need products that are edible since they stick their parts in their mouths). I love how they moisturize and how well they work. I also find their prices really reasonable. The fact that the oils are not oily is amazing. I love how fast they absorb and how well they work.

Thanks so much, Jill! I'm so thrilled that you're enjoying everything....I'm looking forward to wowing you with more great products soon!

bright eyes

I'm not exaggerating - this has got to be one of my favourite new things!

My wonderful friend Olivia is one of the first ladies that I started making blends for, and thanks to her requests for "something smoothing for under-eye use", Bright Eyes was born. (Who can resist? Total Eclipse of the Heart is such a great song too...)

This awesome lightweight serum comes with a glass dropper, so you can use just a drop on each of your ring fingers to lightly pat the goodness under those soulful peepers of yours.

Key Ingredients:
Fractionated Coconut Oil is deeply nourishing, yet glides on lightly with a silky finish. Carrot Oil is amazing for smoothing delicate and sensitive skin, while my favourite powerhouse oils, Argan, Borage, and Evening Primrose feed the skin with beneficial essential fatty acids. Essential oils of Rose and Neroli help rejuvenate sleepy skin.

I've also been using this as a very light makeup primer, and I've noticed that everything glides on a bit smoother...double duty is always great in my books!

Available in the shop now.

five o'clock

This one's for the fellas!

I'll admit, I am one lucky lady to have such a devilishly handsome man in my life. He cooks up a storm, happily takes the dog out late at night (when I'm already in my pjs), always finds the best new tunes to play, and gives the biggest hugs. Giant, whiskery, fuzzy bear hugs. He's so proud of that scruff of his that I felt it would be a shame for us not to appreciate it in all its beard-tastic glory.

Enter, Five O'Clock Beard Grooming Oil!

Key Ingredients:
Avocado and Coconut Oils are deeply hydrating and help condition and tame that wiry, itchy scruff. Rosemary Essential Oil functions as a wonderful hair tonic, helping to nourish and strengthen those whiskers.  Bergamot Essential Oil helps maintain oil balance in the follicles, while smelling wonderfully citrusy and fragrant (and manly, of course) at the same time. Sandalwood Essential Oil grounds the blend, while soothing dry, itchy skin.

To use:
Gently pat your handsome, freshly washed face dry, leaving just a teeny tiny bit of water clinging to your man beard. Add 1-2 pumps of Beard Oil to your hands. Rub them together to warm up the oil before applying to facial hair. Massage in well. Great for mustaches, chops and soul patches too.

I'll be making a limited edition batch, so please check out the shop for more details!

no. 9

Ooh, it's getting a little racy in here!

Around Valentine's Day, I had a request to make a "spicy" massage oil. After blending together some of my favourite sensual oils, I decided to name this blend "no. 9"...it's quite the love potion!

Some key ingredients:

Jasmine essential oil is sweet, yet masculine, while Sandalwood is warm and calming. And Neroli! Can there be a prettier scent? Enjoy the soft fragrance of sweet orange blossom and promote circulation at the same time.

All in all, a perfect mix to get those love vibes going...

Full "no. 9" ingredient list:
Sweet Almond oil, Apricot kernel oil, Essential oils of Lavender, Rose, Sandalwood, Jasmine and Neroli, Vitamin E.

Coming to the shop soon.

High Five!

My friend Rebecca, besides being one of the nicest and most talented cooks I know, happens to also work at a retirement home, where she helps prepare the daily meals with lots of love. Needless to say, her poor hands get quite a beating with the constant use of sanitizers and commercial soaps.

Rebecca is also allergic to most nuts, and so we decided that a custom hand oil blend would be ideal for her. I developed the High Five blend using a wonderful combination of soothing and nourishing oils to protect and heal dry, chapped and irritated hands - and it's free from nut oils too!

Some key ingredients:

Calendula Oil has excellent regenerative and restorative properties. A great choice as a salve for irritated, sensitive skin.

Avocado Oil comes from one of my all-time favourite foods! It comes as no surprise that this oil is packed full of nutritious goodies such as Vitamins A, B1, B2, D, E, and Beta carotene. Fantastic for feeding dry skin.

Geranium Essential Oil has traditional applications as a balancing and calming oil, and is used in preparations to treat dermatitis.

High Five full ingredient list:
Apricot Kernel Oil, Grapeseed Oil, Avocado Oil, Carrot Oil, Jojoba Oil, Calendula Oil, Essential Oils of Rose, Geranium and Sandalwood, Vitamin E.

I am currently selling High Five in the shop.
